Because of the solid state circuitry built into the TEC
controller, there is no method to test it directly. The TEC
may be damaged if an attempt is made to test it with an
electrical test device, such as a digital multimeter.
IMPORTANT: Beforeperformingwelding onthe ma-
chine, disconnect both positive and negative bat-
tery cables from the battery, disconnect both wire
harness connecto rs from the TEC controller and
disconnect the terminal connectorfrom the alterna-
tor to prevent damage to the e lectrical system.
