Signal Generator Quits During Operation
(OPERATE light remains on)
Trouble Description: The signal generator operates for some time,
then shuts down (OPERATE light remains on). After a short period, the
signal generator resumes normal operation. This is an indication that
the MG369XB has reached an excessive operating temperature.
Step 1. Check that the fan is still operating during the time that the
instrument is shut down.

If the fan is still operating, clean the air filter (see
page 6-14)

If the fan is not operating, call a service technician
LOCK ERROR is Displayed
Trouble Description: This message is displayed in the frequency pa-
rameters area to indicate that the output frequency is not
phase-locked. It is normally caused by an internal component failure.
Step 1. Perform a self-test of the signal generator by pressing the
System Menu soft-key Selftest.

If self-test does not result in an error message(s), resume
normal operation
