Headlight Switch
The headlight switch is located on the operator side of
thecontrol arm.This rocker switchallows theheadlights
to be turned on and off.
Testing
1. Remove inside control arm cover to gain access to
headlight switch (see Control Arm Disassembly in the
Service and Repairs section of this chapter).
2. Make sure ignition switchis in the OFF position. Dis-
connect harness electrical connector from the switch.
3. With the use of a multimeter (ohms setting), the
switch functions may be tested to determine whether
continuity exists between thev arious terminals for each
position. The switch terminals are marked as shown in
Figure 32. The circuitry of the headlight switch is shown
in the chart below. Verify continuity between switch ter-
minals.

4. Replace switch if necessary. Connect harness elec-
trical connector to the headlight switch.
5. Install control arm cover to machine (see Control
ArmAssembly inthe Serviceand Repairssection ofthis
chapter).
