Temperature Gauge
The temperature gauge on the control panel indicates
engine coolant temperature level during machine op-
eration.Thechangingresistanceoftheenginetempera-
ture sender signals the temperature gauge.
The temperature gauge should display the first green
segment when the ignition switch is turned to RUN. The
first yellow segment on the gauge should display when
engine coolant temperature is approximately 212
o
F
(100
o
C).
Whenenginecoolanttemperaturerisesto approximate-
ly221

C),thetemperaturegaugeshoulddisplay
the first red segment. At this point, the temperature
gauge provides an input to the Electronic Control Mod-
ule(ECM). This ECMinput causesthehigh temperature
warning light on the control panel to illuminate and the
cutting reels to shut down.
