Separating Cutting Unit from Traction Unit
1. Parkmachineonlevelsurface.Turnkeyswitchtothe
OFF position and remove key from the switch. Make
sure the traction lever is in the NEUTRAL position.
2. Disconnect the b attery pack (see Battery Pack Con-
nection in the General Information section of this chap-
ter).
3. Lower the kickstand and push in the locking pin to
lock the kickstand in the service position (Fig. 3). Allow
the kickstand and machine to rest against the locking
pin.
4. Remove grass basket from cutting unit, if installed.
5. Slide the telescoping coupler off the cutting unit hex
shaft (Fig. 4).
6. Loosen two (2) flange head screws that secure cut-
ting unit pitch arms to traction unit roll frame (Fig. 5). It
is not necessary to completely remove the screws.
7. Rotate pitch arms forward and rest traction unit
against the kickstand.
8. Roll cutting unit away from machine.
9. Reverse procedure to install cutting unit to traction
unit.
10.After cutting unit is installed to traction unit, connect
the battery pack (see Battery Pack Connection in the
General Information section of this chapter).
