Removal (Fig. 57)
1. Park machine on level surface and place traction le-
ver in the NEUTRAL position. Turn key switch to the
OFF position and remove key from the switch.
2. Disconnect the battery pack (see Lithium Battery
Pack Connection in the General Information section of
this chapter).
3. Disconnectelectric motor connections from machine
wire harness.
4. Support electric motor to prevent it from falling.
5. Remove two (2) flange head screws that secure
electric motor to transmission.
6. Carefully, slide electric motor from transmission and
remove from machine.
7. Remove and d iscard O--ring (item 3) from flange of
motor.
Installation (Fig. 57)
1. Apply light coating of grease to new O--ring (item 3).
Install O--ring to flange of electric motor.
2. Apply grease to splines of motor shaft.
3. Position electric motor to transmission, align splines
of motor shaft to transmission coupler and insert motor
shaft into coupler. Slide motor fully to transmission sur-
face.
4. Secure electric motor to transmission with two (2)
flange head screws. Torque screws from 21 to 25 ft--lb
(29to33N--m).
5. Connect electric motor connections to machine wire
harness.
6. Connect the battery pack (see Lithium Battery Pack
Connection in the General Information section of this
chapter).
