The
transaxle
is
a
complete
unit
consisting
of
a
transmission
and
differential
axle.
Gear
shift-
ing
is
accomplished
by
a
dir
e
ct-mounted
shift
lever
connected
to
the
three
forward
speeds
and
one
reverse.
Th
e
re
are
two
distinct
shift
er
fork
and
ge
ar
assemblies:
one
for
reverse
and
first,
th
e
other
for
second
and
third.
The
transaxle
has
automotive-type
alloy
gears
turning
on
anti-friction
be
arings
and
is
oil-bath
lubricated.
