3. Connect a SCSI cable to the host computer and to one of the autoloader’s
SCSI connectors. Figure 2-8 shows the location of the autoloader’s SCSI
connectors.

4. If the autoloader is the last device on the SCSI bus, install a terminator on
the unused SCSI connector.
Daisy-chaining—If the autoloader is not the last device on the bus,
connect another SCSI cable from the autoloader’s SCSI connector to the
next device on the bus.
Bus termination—If there are additional devices on the SCSI bus, ensure
that only the device at the physical end of the bus is terminated.

Do not over-tighten the SCSI cable jack screws.

Both LTO-2 and LTO-3 SCSI tape drives require an Ultra 3 or
LVD 160 terminator to function properly on the SCSI bus. An
inadequate terminator will result in various SCSI bus issues,
including bus hangs and Read/Write failures.

the wrong terminator.
