Location ID Module
ThelocationIDmoduleexistsintheelectriccuttingreels
circuit to identify the location of the three (3) cutting reel
motors. This module allows such machine features as
raising the center cutting unit slightly later than the front
cutting units. The location module plugs into the E- Re-
els wire harness under the left side cover next to the op-
erator seat (Fig. 82).
Testing
1. Park machine on level surface, lower cutting units,
stop engine, apply parking brake and remove key from
ignition switch.Remove right sidecover nextto operator
seat to allow access to location ID module.
2. Carefully unplug E- Reels wire harness connector
from location ID module connector.
NOTE: Location ID module connector terminals A and
B are not used on Greensmaster TriFlex Hybrid ma-
chines.
3. Using a multimeter, measure resistances between
module connector terminals as follows (Fig. 83). If any
of the measured resistancesvary bymorethan 10%,re-
place location ID module.
Connector Terminals
Resistance
CandF 6.2 K ohms
DandF 3.9 K ohms
EandF 1.6 K ohms
NOTE: Aquick checkof the electric reelmotors and the
E- Reels wire harness can be done while the wire har-
nessconnector isdisconnectedfrom theID module. Us-
ing a multimeter, measure the resistances between the
wire harness ID module connector terminals C and Ffor
right reel motor (#3), D and F for left reel motor (#2) and
E andF for centerreel motor(#1). Resistance should be
approximately18.8 K-ohms forall combinations.An in-
correct resistance measurement would suggest a faulty
reel motor or damage to the E- Reels wire harness.
4. After testing is completed, secure wire harness con-
nector to location ID module connector. Install right side
cover next to operator seat.
