Removal (Fig. 34)
CAUTION
Before continuing further, read and become fa-
miliar with General Precautions for Removing
and Installing Hydraulic System Components in
this section.
1. Parkmachine ona levelsurface, engagethe parking
brake, lower the cutting units and stop the engine. Re-
move key from the ignition switch.
2. Thoroughly clean hydraulichose endsandfittings on
gear pump to prevent hydraulic system contamination.
3. Label all hose connections on gear pump for as-
sembly purposes.
4. Clamp gear pump suction (inlet) hose to prevent
draining the hydraulic tank.
5. Loosen hose clamp and remove suction hose from
the gear pump.
6. Disconnect hydraulic hose from fitting on bottom of
the gear pump. Allow hose to d rain into a suitable con-
tainer. Plug hose to prevent contamination.
IMPORTANT: Note position of hydraulic fitting on
bottom of pump for assembly purposes.
