Bedbar Removal (Fig. 14)
1. Position machine on a clean and level surface, lower
cutting units, stop engine, engage parking brake and re-
move key from the ignition switch.
2. Remove the cutting unit from the machine and place
cutting unit on a flat work area.
3. Tip the cutting unit to expose the bedknife. Support
the rear of the cutting unit (see Supporting Cutting Unit
when Servicing in the General Information section of
this chapter).
4. Loosen the lock nuts (item 13) on the end of each
bedbar adjuster assembly until washer (item 11) is
loose.
5. Loosen the lock nuts (item 10) on each bedbar pivot
bolt (item 18).
6. Remove two (2) bedbar pivot bolts (item 18), four (4)
metal washers (item 17) and four (4) plastic washers
(item 16) from the cutting unit side plates.
