Hour Meter
The hour meter is located on the control panel.
Testing
1. Connect the positive (+) terminal of a 12 VDC source
to the positive terminal of the hour meter.
2. Connect the negative (--) terminal of the voltage
source to the other terminal of the hour meter.
3. The hour meter should move a 1/10 of an hour in six
(6) minutes.
4. Disconnect the voltage source from the hour meter.
5. Replace the hour meter if necessary.

Seat Switch
The seat switch is normally open and closes when the
operator is on the seat. If the func tional control lever is
moved out of neutral (neutral switch opens) and the op-
erator raises out of the seat, the engine magneto will
ground and the engine will stop. The switch and its elec-
trical connector a re located directly under the seat.
Testing
1. Make sure the engine and ignition switch is OFF.
2. Remove seat from the support assembly by remov-
ing four (4) lock nu ts from the seat bolts.
3. Disconnectelectrical connector from the seat switch.
4. Check the continuity of the switch by connecting a
multimeter (ohms setting) across the connector termi-
nals.
5. With no operat or in the seat, there should be no con-
tinuity between the terminals.
6. Press directly onto the seat switch through the seat
cushion. There should be continuity as the seat cushion
approaches the bottom of its travel.
7. Connect switch e lectrical connector.
8. Secure seat to support assembly with removed f as-
teners.
