Cutting Unit Operating Problems
NOTE: Check Diagnostic Light (serial number below
312000000) or InfoCenter display (serial number above
312000000) for possible operator advisories or faults
whenever diagnosing machine electrical problems.
Problem
Possible Causes
Cutting units will not raise. Wiring to raise circuit components is loose, corroded or
damaged (see electrical schematic in Chapter 10 --
Foldout Drawings).
Fuse or fuse block is faulty (see Fuse Block in the
Component Testing section of this chapter).
Raiseswitchinjoystickassemblyisfaulty.
Lift manifold solenoid valve coil(s) (S1, S3 and/or S4)
or circuit wiring is faulty.
A hydraulic problem exists (see Chapter 5 -- Hydraulic
System).
The TEC Controller is faulty (fault c ode should have
been generated).
Cutting units will not lower. Wiring to lower circuit components is loose, corroded
or damaged (see electrical schematic in Chapter 10 --
Foldout Drawings).
Fuse or fuse block is faulty (see Fuse Block in the
Component Testing section of this chapter).
Lower switch i n joystick assembly is faulty.
Lift manifold solenoid valve coil(s) (S1, S2, S3 and/or
S4) or circuit wiring is faulty.
A hydraulic problem exists (see Chapter 5 -- Hydraulic
System).
The TEC Controller is faulty (fault c ode should have
been generated).
Cutting units run (but should not) when raised. Mow switch is faulty or out of adjustment.
