PTO Switch
The PTO switch is located on the control panel (Fig. 12).
This rocker s witch allows the decks to be engaged or
disengaged. Along with additional switches in the inter-
lock system, the PTO switch controls the s olenoid valve
on the hydraulic manifold.
The Standard Control Module monitors the operation of
the PTO switch. If theignition switch is inthe ON position
and the PTO switch is moved to engage, the Module
PTO switch input LED should be illuminated.
Testing
The PTO switch terminals are marked as shown in Fig.
13. The circuitry of the PTO switch is shown in the chart
below. With the use of a multimeter (ohms setting), the
switch functions may be tested to determine whether
continuity exists between the various terminals for each
position. Verify continuity between switch terminals.

Diode Assembly
Diode D1 is used for circuit protection from inductive
voltage spikes when the deck drive solenoid is de--ener-
gized. The diode plugs into the wiring harness under the
control console.
Testing
The diode(Fig. 14)can betested usinga digitalmultime-
ter (diode test or ohms setting) and the table below.
