11.On machines with a Tier 4 compliant engine (models
30607 and 30609):
A.Removefueltanktoallowenginetoberaised
frommachine(seeFuelSysteminthissection).
B. Install lift bracket to front of engine cylinder head
(item6 in Fig. 17).Front liftbracket wasincluded with
new machineor is availableasa service part(referto
parts catalog for part number).
12.On Groundsmaster 4010--D machines:
A. Remove air conditioning compressor from com-
pressor mount (see Air Conditioning Compressor in
theServiceand RepairssectionofChapter 9 -- Oper-
ator Cab). Position compressor away f rom engine
taking care to not damage compressor or AC hoses.
Support compressor to make sure it will not fall dur-
ing engine removal.
B. Disconnect coolant h oses from fittings on engine
water flange. On Groundsmaster 4010--D machines
with a Tier 4 compliant engine (model 30607), dis-
connect coolant hose from fitting on lower radiator
hose assembly. Label coolant hoses for proper as-
sembly.
IMPORTANT: The hydraulic pump assembly can re-
main in machine d uring engine removal. To prevent
pump from shifting or falling, make sure to support
pump assembly before the fasteners that secure
pump assembly to engine are removed.
13.Support hydraulic pump assembly. Remove fasten-
ers that secure pump assembly to engine (see Pump
Assembly in the Service and Repairs section of Chapter
4 -- Hydraulic System).
14.Note location of all cable ties securing the wire har-
ness, fuellines and hydraulichoses to the enginefor as-
sembly purposes. Remove cable ties as needed for
engine removal.
15.Connect lift or hoist to the lift brackets on engine.
16.Remove flange nuts, rebound washers and cap
screws that securethe engine mount brackets tothe en-
gine mounts.
