To change the Java plug-in settings:
1 In Windows, access the Java plug-in settings from the Control Panel.
2 In the Java Runtime Parameters box, type:
-ms16m -mx64m
Note: The entry "-ms16m" reserves 16MB memory when the application starts. The entry
"-mx64m" reserves a maximum of 64MB available RAM. If your system has more
memory, you can specify a larger amount.
For additional Java troubleshooting, refer to the MarkVision README file.
Cannot enter characters in printers in a different language
In some situations, a user may need to enter information in a printer in a different language than the
MVP client is currently using. MVP 11.0 has some limitations configuring or entering specific
characters for devices in a language that MVP does not support. In these situations, you must enter
the characters manually, without using MVP.
Some settings that have been configured in MarkVision Professional
revert to their previous state after the MarkVision Server is rebooted
MarkVision Professional saves configured system settings at a regular interval. As a result,
configurable settings, such as Administrative Settings, Device Policies, folders, filters, and User
Accounts and Groups, will not persist until the regular save interval has occurred. To ensure that
configured settings remain in place, wait at least 10 minutes after making any changes to the
settings before stopping the MarkVision Server.
