5.9.8.5. LDAP Kerberos Set Up
Kerberos is a network authentication protocol, which provides a secure means of
identity verification for users who are communicating via a non-secure network.
To access the LDAP Kerberos Set Up menu, access the command mode using a
password that permits access to Administrator Level commands and then proceed as
follows:
Text Interface: Type /N and press [Enter] to display the Network Parameters
Menu (Figure 5.17.) At the Network Parameters Menu, type 27 and press [Enter]
to display the LDAP Parameters Menu. At the LDAP Parameters Menu, type 5 and
press [Enter] and then use the resulting submenu to set the Bind Type to Kerberos.
Next, return to the LDAP Parameters Menu. Note that the LDAP Parameters Menu
now includes a prompt which is used to select Kerberos parameters. Type 14 and
press [Enter] to display the Kerberos Set Up Menu.
Web Browser Interface: Click on the LDAP Parameters link on the left hand side of
the screen to display the LDAP Parameters Menu. At the LDAP Parameters Menu,
click on the LDAP Kerberos Setup button to display the LDAP Kerberos Setup
menu.
The LDAP Kerberos Setup menu allows you to define the following parameters:
Port: (Default = 88.)
Realm: (Default = Undefined.)
Key Distribution Centers (KDC1 through KDC5): (Default = Undefined.)
Domain Realms 1 through 5: (Default = Undefined.)
