Multimeter
The m ultimeter can test electrical components and cir-
cuits for current, resistance or voltage.
NOTE: Toro recommends the use of a DIGITAL Volt--
Ohm--Amp multimeter when testing electrical circuits.
The high impedance (internal resistance) ofadigitalme-
ter in the voltage m ode will make sure that exc ess cur-
rent is not allowed through the meter. This excess
current can cause damage to circuits not designed to
carry it.

Skin--Over Grease
Special non--conductive grease which forms a light pro-
tective skin to help waterproof electrical switches and
contacts.

Dielectric Gel
Dielectric gel should be used to prevent corrosion of
connectionterminals.To ensurecompletecoatingof ter-
minals, liberally apply gel to both component and wire
harness connector, plug connector to component, un-
plug connector, reapply gel to both surfaces and recon-
nect harness connector to component. Connectors
should be thoroughly packed with gel for effective re-
sults.
