Cutting Unit Clip Adjustment
Cutting unit clip adjustment on the eFlex 1800 and eFlex
2100 can be changed by installing the cutting unit drive
pulleys to the appropriate locations on the reel drive as-
sembly. Clip frequency pulley locations for 11 blade and
14 blade cutting units are shown in Figure 11 below.
To adjust clip frequency, follow the following steps:
1. Parkmachineon level surface. Turnkeyswitch to the
OFF position and remove key from the switch. Discon-
nect the battery pack (see Battery Pack Connection in
the General Information section of this chapter).
2. Remove reel drive cover and reel drive belt from side
of cuttingunit (see Reel Drive Belt in the Service and Re-
pairs section of this chapter).
3. Loosen two (2) set screws from drive pulleys that are
to be removed. Slide pulleys from shafts.
4. Apply antiseize lubricant to top of woodruff keys. Ar-
range pulleys on reel drive assembly as needed for de-
sired clip frequency (Fig. 11).
5. Secure all pulleys with two (2) set screws. Torque
screws from 60 to 65 in--lb (6.8 to 7.3 N--m).
6. Install reel drive belt and reel drive cover to cutting
unit (see Reel Drive Belt in the Service and Repairs sec-
tion of this chapter).
7. Connectthe battery pack(see Battery Pack Connec-
tion in the General Information section o f this chapter).
