Chapter 5 Wireless Network Configuration
Introduction
The VX7 computer offers a choice of Summit, Cisco or Symbol radios. The Summit radio is an
802.11g radio. The Cisco and Symbol radios are 802.11b radios. The radio can be configured for
no encryption, WEP encryption or WPA security (N/A with Symbol radio).
Certificates are necessary for many of the WPA authentications. Please refer to the “Certificates”
section at the end of this chapter for more information on generating and installing certificates.
Please refer to the table below for the security options supported for each radio type.
