Disabling the Touchscreen
To disable the touchscreen, run \Windows\TouchDisable.reg and perform a warmboot.
To enable the touchscreen, run \Windows\TouchEnable.reg and perform a warmboot.
Note: These utilities affect the behavior of the touchscreen on warmboot. After a coldboot, the
touchscreen is enabled.
Disabling the Touchscreen Heater

The touchscreen heater can only be disabled on Platform 2 VX7’s. For more
information on identifying the platform version of your VX7, please see
“Identifying your VX7” in Chapter 2, “Physical Description and Layout”.
The touchscreen heater installed in extended temperature VX7’s may be disabled.
To disable the touchscreen heater, run \Windows\HeaterDisable.reg and perform a warmboot.
To enable the touchscreen heater, run \Windows\HeaterEnable.reg and perform a warmboot.
Note: These utilities affect the behavior of the touchscreen heater on warmboot. After a
coldboot, the touchscreen heater is enabled.
Configuring NumLock Behavior
To set NumLock status to On after a warmboot, run \Windows\NumLockOn.reg and perform a
warmboot.
To set NumLock status to Off after a warmboot, run \Windows\NumLockOff.reg and perform a
warmboot.
Note: The current status of NumLock can be changed with the <2
nd
> <SHIFT> <F10>
keypress sequence, however this method does not change NumLock behavior upon
reboot.
Note: These utilities affect the behavior of the NumLock on warmboot. After a coldboot,
NumLock is enabled.
