Traction Pump Belt Replacement (Fig. 18, 19)
1. Park machine on a level surface, engage parking
brake, open hood and disconnect engine spark plug
wires.
2. Remove pulley guard bracket (Fig. 20, Item 21).
3. Remove drive coupling (see Drive Coupling Removal
and Installation in Chapter 6 - Water System).
4. Disconnect valve clutch electrical connector.
5. Remove valve clutch stops.
6. Loosen pivot nut securing pump mount to pump
support.
7. Loosen adjusting nut securing pump and pump mount
to slotted pump support.
8. Push pump towards inside of machine to loosen belt
tension and remove the belt.
9. Reverse steps 2 - 8 to install new belt.
10. Adjust belt tension (see Traction Pump Belt
Adjustment).
