SECTION 14: TROUBLESHOOTING
14.1 General
WARNING
Explosion Hazard
Installation must be done by a registered installer/
contractor qualified in the installation and service of
gas-fired heating equipment or your gas supplier.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in death,
injury or property damage.
Replace fan/limit
thermostat.
See Figure 13 to check
thermostat settings.

Use 14.6 or 14.7 to test fan.

Check external controls are
ON and the fuse in the
burner is sound.
Test burner as in
14.2 (oil-fired),
14.3 (gas-fired).
Repair or Replace.

Check if the control fuse in
the heater has blown.

Is the 'lockout' button on the
burner alight?
Test burner as in
14.2 (oil-fired),
14.3 (gas-fired).
Heater Operating
TROUBLESHOOT ENDS.
Press in the white button on
fan/limit thermostat.
Does the burner stop after
running for several minutes
with controls still ON ?

Did burner 'lockout' ?
Check main fan for blockage
or belt tension and correct
rotation.
Check operation and setting
of fan/limit thermostat. Repair
or replace as necessary.
