Scheduled Routine Maintenance for the AOC 15/50
Monthly (ground level inspection):
Visually inspect the wind turbine and site for obvious problems.
Record the meter and run time readings.
Inspect the dynamic brake components for discoloration or failure.
Six months after turbine installation:
Visually inspect the tower fasteners and carry out a random torque check.
Check and clean the electrical connections.
Check the blade bolt washer alignment and all accessible fasteners, especially the tower top bolts, blade
bolts and yaw bearing bolts.
Inspect the yaw bearing and yaw lock.
Inspect the tip brakes.
Check the torque of the hinge block nuts and the tip brake plate fasteners.
Inspect the generator.
Inspect the gearbox for leaks and vent clogging.
Check the oil level in the site glass.
Inspect the main shaft for cracking.
Inspect the rotary transformer.
Annually
Check oil level in the site glass.
Grease the yaw bearing and yaw lock.
Clean the blades.
Every two years (or after severe events):
As for the inspection carried out after the first six months of operation
Clean the blades.
Re-calibrate the control system if necessary.
Inspect and replace the anemometers if necessary.
Inspect all exposed cables
Every five years:
As for the inspection carried out every two years.
Overhaul the wind turbine generator if the oil samples and/or inspection records indicate this to be
necessary.
