AOC 15/50 Commissioning Test QA Checklist

Control Box Check
QA Check Date
Inspect cabling to control boxes
Emergency Stop
QA Check Date
Confirm function of Emergency Stop switch (MCR disabled)
Parking Brake release
QA Check Date
Confirm electrical release of Parking Brake
(Rotor should turn if wind present)
NOTE: Parking brake release should produce an audible click
Anemometer Signal Check
QA Check Date
With computer interface, check for signal from both units
(0-5V=0-100mph)
Conduct Rotor Jog
Confirm Directional Rotation
Confirm RPM (50Hz 1495-1530 and 60Hz 1790-1830)
QA Check Date
Confirm tip brakes do not deploy
Dynamic Brake Test
Check connection of 1M and 4M wires (control wires)
Observe sufficient drop in RPM
QA Check Date
(33-50% drop without tip brakes or parking brake deployed)
CAUTION: DO NOT RUN DYNAMIC BRAKE FOR LONGER THAN TEN (10) SECONDS.
ALLOW RESISTORS TO COOL TO ROOM TEMPERATURE BEFORE REPEATING TEST
Placing Turbine On Line
QA Check Date
Observe turbine coming on line
Manual Shutdown
Confirm turbine coming off line
QA Check Date
Turn turbine power switch to "OFF"
Low Wind Shutdown
QA Check Date
Observe low-wind shutdown.
(If conditions do not permit, simulate electrically)
