TROUBLESHOOTING
The engine does not
start running.
The engine is difficult to
start running.
The engine misfires.
The engine lacks power
The engine overheats.
The engine is noisy or
knocks.
The engine stalls when
loaded.
The On/Off switch is in the Off position.
No fuel in the tank.
Clogged fuel filter.
Clogged fuel tube.
Short-circuited or clogged spark plug.
Spark plug is broken (cracked porce-
lain or broken electrodes).
Spark plug conductor wire short-circui-
ted, broken or detached from the plug.
Spark plug not working.
Water in the petrol or contaminated
fuel.
Leaks from the carburettor joints or
from the base of the cylinder).
Weak spark at the plug.
Dirk in the fuel tube or in the carburet-
tor.
Spark plug broken, worn or incorrect
gap adjustment.
Weak or intermittent spark.
Air filter clogged.
Silencer clogged.
Exhaust orifices clogged.
Spark arrester clogged
Weak compression
Bad air circulation
Spark plug incorrect
Worn bearings, piston or cylinder
lining.
Carburettor settings too weak.
The engine overheats.
Turn the switch to the “on” position.
Fill the tank.
Clean the fuel filter.
Clean the fuel pipe.
Replace the spark plug.
Replace the spark plug.
Replace the conductor lead or fix it into the spark
plug.
Contact your repair agent.
Empty the entire system and refill with new fuel.
Put the starter lever to the open position and pull
two or three times.
Re-tighten the carburettor.
Replace the joints of the thermal tank.

Remove and clean.
Clean or replace the spark plug – adjust the gap
between the electrodes to between 0.6 and
0.7 mm.

Clean or replace the air filter.
Remove the carbon from the silencer.
Remove the silencer. Remove all the carbon
from the exhaust orifices. Take care not to scrat-
ch or damage the piston and the cylinder lining.
Blow away all the carbon removed using com-
pressed air. Replace the silencer and the moun-
tings.
Clean the spark arrester.
Contact your repair agent.
Clean the flywheel, the cylinder flanges and the
air filter.
Replace with the spark plug recommended by
the manufacturer.

Remove all dirt and dust lodged between the
flanges.
