Removing and installing lock cylin-
der for fuel tank
Removing lock cylinder
•
Open cover and release screws (1).
•
Remove housing (2) for lock cylinder.
•
Fit key in lock cylinder, press catch (3).
•
Pull out lock cylinder together with key.
•
Note position of O-ring (4).
Installing locking cylinder
•
Grease lock cylinder with Shell Retinax A.
•
Fit lock cylinder with key in mounting groove
(arrow).
•
Press down lock cylinder and turn key in clock-
wise direction; catch engages.
•
Install housing.
Removing lock cylinder with broken
key
•
With the aid of 4-5 mm ⌷ drill, drill out lock cylin-
der over its entire length.
•
Increase drill ⌷ until the lock cylinder can be
removed.
e Caution:
Clean fuel tank of drilling swarf.
