OPERATION
6. Check the angle of the joints at each end of the IID
shaft when the mower is in operating position. The
maximum operating angle is 30 degrees.
OPERATION
Failure to make these adjustments prior to operating the cutter could result in premature
IID shaft failure.
NEVER OPERATE THE MOWER WITH THE SHIELDS OR GUARDS REMOVED. DO
NOT APPROACH ROTATING SHAFTS WHEN IN OPERATION.
Belt Tension Adjustment
The belt tension must be adjusted properly to prevent
the belt from slipping. To adjust the belt tension,
loosen the jam nut and tighten the nuts on the
Tensioning Rod until each belt can be depressed 1/2”
when a force of 11 pounds is applied to the belt at a
point midway between the pulley.
NOTE: It is important that the belt tension be checked
during the first few hours of operation and periodically
thereafter.
