REPLACING BAT'rERY
_kCAUTION: Do notshort battery
terminals by allowing a wrench or any
other object to contact bothterminalsat
the same time. Beforeconnecting battery,
remove metal bracelets, wristwatch
bands, dags, etc.
Positiveterminal must be connected first
to prevent sparking from ecoldental
grounding.
1. Lifthood to raised position.
2. Remove terminal guard.
3. Disconnect BLACK battery cable then
RED battery cable and carefully
removebattery from tractor.
4. Install new batterywith terminals in
same positionas old battery.
5. Reinstall terminal guard.
6. First connect RED battery cable to
positive (+) battery terminal with hex
belt and keps nut as shown. Tighten
securely.
7. Connect BLACK grounding cable to
negative (-) battery terminal with
remaining hex belt and keps nut.
Tighten securely
8. Close terminalaccess doors.
9. Close hood.

TO REPLACE HEADLIGHT BULB
1. Raise hood.
2. Pull bulb holder out ofthe hole in the
backside of the grill.
3. Replace bulb in holder and push bulb
holder securely back intothe hole In
the backside of thegrill.
4. Close hood.

TO REPLACE FUSE
Replace with 30 amp automotive-type
plug4n fuse. Thefuse holderislocated
behind the dash.
TO ADJUST ATTACHMENT LIFT
SPRING
1. _Arniteholding springbashing with
wrench, loosenjam nut.
• Turn adjustment boltclockwise to
extend spdngand reduce llfteffortf¢
heavier attachments.
• Turn adjustment bolt countemlockwi
for lighterattachments.
2. Retighten jam nut against spring
bushing.
IMPORTANT: Do notadjustfor maxi-
mum springtension when usinglight
attachments such as a mower. Adjustli
lever spdng to aid in liftingattachment.
Do notoverpower spdng. When remo_
ing attachment, always adjust spring
tension toits lowest position,
