Throttle Control Lever
Thethrottlecontrolleverislocatedon the rightsideof
thetractor'sdashpanel.Thislevercontrolsthe speed
ofthe engineand,on somemodels,when pushedall
thewayforward,thechokecontrolalso.Whenset ina
givenposition,thethrottlewill maintaina uniformengine
speed.SeeFigure9.
IMPORTANT:Whenoperatingthetractorwiththe cutting
deckengaged,becertainthatthe throttleleverisalways
inthe FAST(rabbit)position.
Choke Control
Onsomemodels,movingthe
throttleleverallthewayforward
activatestheengine'schoke
control.Onall othermodels,the
chokecontrolcanbefoundon
theleftside ofthedashpanel
andisactivatedby pullingthe
knoboutward.Activatingthe
chokecontrolclosesthechoke
plateonthecarburetorandaids instartingtheengine.

Thebrakepedalislocatedon /

abovethe drivepedalalongthe
runningboard.The brakepedal
canbeusedfor suddenstops

thesafetyinterlockswitch
whenstartingthetractor.

theenginehasfired.

Drive Pedal
Thedrivepedalis locatedbelowthe
brakepedalon therightfrontside of
thetractoralongthe runningboard.
Depressthedrivepedalwithyourright
footwhenthetractorshift leveris in
eitherFORWARDor REVERSEtocaus_
thetractorto move.Groundspeedis
alsocontrolledwiththe drivepedal.The
furtherdownthepedalis depressed,the
fasterthetractorwill travel.Thepedal
willreturnto itsoriginalpositionwhenit'._
notdepressed.
