FAULT DESCRIPTION CORRECTIVE ACTION
No Flame Ign
(Will require a manual
reset. Press the RESET
button on the SMART
SYSTEM
display to reset.)
The unit has failed to prove burner flame
upon ignition.
• Inspect igniter and associated wiring for damage and
connection. Reference page 25 of this manual for
removal and cleaning procedure. Replace if
necessary.
• Check for proper electrical grounding of unit.
• Check incoming supply gas pressure. Refer to the
Gas Connections Section in the Installation and
Operation Manual for detailed information concerning
the gas supply.
• Verify that the tube from the gas valve to the combustion
air chamber is connected and is not damaged.
• Verify that the vent/air intake pipes are correctly
installed and that there are no obstructions.
• Inspect the burners. Reference pages 26 and 27
of this manual for removal and cleaning procedures.
Replace if necessary.
• Refer to the Checking Manifold Gas Pressure and
Combustion Analysis Procedure on pages 27 and 28
of this manual for the proper settings.
• Check for 24 VAC to the gas valve during the ignition
attempt. If no voltage is present, check the wiring
between the gas valve and the main control board.
• Replace the wiring or the main control board as
necessary.

Amp draw of the hot surface igniter did not
meet the minimum requirement of 2.6 amps.
• Measure the amp draw of the hot surface igniter during
the trial for ignition stage. If less than 2.6 amps
replace the hot surface igniter.
• If more than 2.6 amps replace the control module.
Flame CKT
Error
The main control board has detected an
internal fault.
• Replace the main control board.
