DRIVE PEDAL
Thedrivepedalislocatedon the rightsideof the
tractor,alongthe runningboard.Pressthe drive
pedalforwardto causethetractorto travelforward.
Groundspeedis alsocontrolledwiththe drivepedal.
Thefurtherforwardthat thepedalis pivoted,the
fasterthetractorwilltravel.The pedalwillreturnto
itsoriginalpositionwhen it'snot pressed.
REVERSE PEDAL
The reversepedalislocatedonthe rightsideof the
tractoralongtherunningboard. Groundspeedis
alsocontrolledwiththe reversepedal.Thefurther
downwardthe pedalis pivoted,thefasterthe
tractorwilltravel.Thepedalwillreturnto itsoriginal
positionwhenit'snotpressed.

SYSTEMS INDICATOR MONITOR/HOUR
METER LCD
Whenthe ignitionkeyis
rotatedoutoftheSTOP
positionbut notintothe START
position,thesystem'sindicator
monitordisplaysthebattery's
output,in volts,on its LCDfor
approximatelyfiveseconds,
afterwhichit displaysan hour
glassandthe hoursof tractor
operation.Oncethetractoris
started,the monitorcontinually
displaysan hourglassandthe

hoursof tractoroperationon itsLCD.
NOTE: Hoursoftractoroperationarerecordedanytimethe ignition
keyis rotatedout oftheSTOPposition,regardlessof whetherthe
engineis started.
The IndicatorMonitorwillalsoremindthe operatorof maintenance
intervalsforchangingthe engineoil.TheLCDwill alternatelyflash
the recordedhours,"CHG"and"OIL."forfiveminutes,afterevery50
hoursof recordedoperationelapse.The maintenanceintervallasts
for two hours(from50-52, 100-102,150-152,etc.).The LCDwill also
flashas describedaboveforfiveminuteseverytimethe tractor's
enginehasbeenstartedduringthismaintenanceinterval.Beforethe
intervalexpires,changetheengineoilas instructedinthe Serviceand
Maintenancesectionof thisOperator'sManual.
Brake
if theBrakelightilluminateswhenattemptingtostartthe tractor's
engine,depressthebrakepedal.
PTO (Blade Engage)
Ifthe PTOlight illuminateswhenattemptingto startthetractor's
engine,movePTOknobintothedisengaged(OFF)position.
Oil
Itis normalfortheOillightto illuminatewhile theengineis cranking
duringstart-up,but ifit illuminatesduringoperation,whilethe engineis
running,stopthetractorimmediatelyandchecktheengineoil levelas
instructedinthis Operator'sManual.
Battery
Itis normalfortheBatterylight toilluminatewhiletheengineis
crankingduringstart-up,but ifit illuminatesduringoperation,whilethe
engineis running,thebatteryisinneedof a chargeorthe engine's
chargingsystemis notgeneratingsufficientamperage.Chargethe
batteryas instructedin the Servicesectionof thismanualor havethe
chargingsystemcheckedbyaSearsor otherqualifiedservicedealer.
