4. Applyingforceto eitherthetimingbeltidlerpulleyor thetiming
beltidlerbracket,pivotand holdtheidlerbracketagainstthe
springtensionjust farenoughto allowliftingthetimingbeltoff
andabovetheidlerpulley.Carefullyreleasetheidlerbracket.See
Figure21.
5. Loopthetimingbeltandlift outofthetimingpulleyandoverthe
righthandspindleassembly.Maneuverthebeltbetweenthedrive
pulleyontopofthespindleassemblyandthespindlecoverto
remove.
6. Repeattheaboveproceduretoremovethebeltfromtheleft hand
spindleassemblytimingpulley.RefertoFigure21.
7. Loopthe newtimingbeltand maneuverthebeltbetweenthedrive
pulleyontopoftherighthandspindleassemblyandthe spindle
cover.Lowerthebeltuntillooselyaroundtherighthandtiming
pulley.RefertoFigure21.
8. Notethearrowson thetopofthetimingpulleyonthe LHspindle
andonthedrivepulleyoftheRHspindleassembly.Thesetiming
arrowsMUSTbe positioned90ofromeachotherasshownin

9. RotatetheRHspindleassemblyto positionthedrivepulleytiming
arrowasshownin Figure19.ThenwithoutmovingtheRHdrive
pulley,pullthetimingbelttightagainsttheRHtimingpulley,above
thetimingbeltidlerpulley,andovertotheLHtimingpulley.
10. TurntheLHtimingpulleysothat itstimingarrowis900fromthe
RHspindleassemblytimingarrow.RefertoFigure23.
11. Whilemakingsurenottochangethepositionofeitherpulley,loop
thetimingbeltovertheLHtimingpulley.
12. Aftermakingsurethespringishookedontotheidlerbracketand
screw,pivotthetimingidlerbracket!idlerpulleyagainstthespring
tensionjustfarenoughtoallowyouto lowerthebacksideofthe
timingbeltontotheidlerpulley.SeeFigure23.
13. Re-checkthetimingarrowsonthetwopulleys.Iftheyhave
movedfromthe900positionwhentensioningthetimingbelt,pivot
theidlerpulleytorelievetensiononthe beltand re-positionthe
pulleys.Thetiming arrows MUSTbe positioned900from each
other as shownin Figure23.
14. Re-installtheidlerbracketbackstopcomponentsasoriginally
installedin thedeck housing,andpositionsothatthereisa 1/8"
gap betweenthebackstopandidlerbracket.Tightenthehex
screwandflangelocknuttosecurein theadjustedposition.
