BRAKE PEDAL
Thebrakepedalislocatedatthefrontoftheleft runningboardand is
usedforquickstops,or settingtheparkingbrake.Thispedalmustbe
fullydepressedtoactivatethesafetyinterlockswitchwhenstartingthe
tractor.
DECK LIFT LEVER
Thedecklift leverislocatedintherightfenderandisusedtochange
thecuttingheightofthemowerdeck.Thecuttingheightsrangefrom
1-1/2"to4".Eachofthesix indexnotchesrepresentanapproximately
1/2"adjustmenttothedeckheight.
1. Touse,graspthelift leverhandleandpullslightlyupward(rear-
ward)whilepivotingtheleverinwardandoutofits indexnotch.
2. Movethe liftleverasnecessaryto placeinthenotchbestsuited
foryourapplication.
Afterchangingthecuttingheightofthedeck,youmustcheckthe
positionofthedeckfrontgaugewheels.Theyshouldbeapproximately
lbinch abovethegroundwhenthetractorisona smooth,flatsurface
suchasa driveway.Referto"Service& Maintenance"laterinthis
manual.
PARKING BRAKE LEVER
NOTE:Theparkingbrakemustbesetiftheoperator ,_,_%,
leavestheseatwiththeenginerunning;otherwisethe
tL )
enginewillautomaticallyshutoff.
1. Tosettheparkingbrake,fullydepressthebrake
pedaland pushthebottomofparkingbrakelever
inward.Seetheimagetotherightforparkingbrake
identification.Holdtheleverinwhileremovingyour
footfromthebrakepedal.Bothparkingbrakelever
andbrakepedalwillstaydepressed.
2. Toreleasetheparkingbrake,depressthebrakepedalslightly.
Theparkingbrakeleverwillthenreturntoits originalposition.
IMPORTANT:Alwayssettheparkingbrakewhenleavingthetractor
unattended.
FORWARD CONTROL PEDAL
Theforwardcontrolpedalislocatedonthe rightsideofthetractor,at
thefrontofthe rightrunningboard.Depresstheforwardcontrolpedal
tocausethetractortotravelintheforwarddirection.Theforward
groundspeedofthetractorisdirectlyaffectedbythedistancethe
pedalisdepressed.Thefurtherthepedalisdepressed,thefasterthe
tractorwilltravel.Thetractorwillslowandthepedalwillreturntoits
originalpositionwhenreleased.
REVERSE CONTROL PEDAL
Thereversecontrolpedalislocatedinthe rightfrontrunningboard
rearwardoftheforwardcontrolpedal.Depressthe reversecontrol
pedaltocausethetractortotravelin reverse.Thefurtherthepedalis
depressed,thefasterthetractorwilltravel.Thetractorwillslowand
thepedalwillreturntoitsoriginalpositionwhenreleased.
CUP HOLDER
Thetractor'scupholderis locatedon thefendertotheleft oftheseat.
SEAT ADJUSTMENT LEVER
Theseatadjustmentleverison theleftsideoftheseat.Usethis lever
toadjusttheseatforwardor rearwardtoacomfortableoperating
position.Seethe"Service&Maintenance"sectionlaterin thismanual
forinstructions.
FUEL FILL CAP AND FUEL LEVEL
WINDOW
Thefuelfillcapis locatedinthecenteroftherearfender.Pivot
theseatforwardtofullyaccessthefuelfillcapandfillthefuel
tank.
1. Turnthefill capapproximately1/4turnandpull upwardto
remove.
2. Pushthecapdownwardon thefueltankfillneckandturn
1/4turnclockwisetotighten.
Theleveloffuelinthefueltankcanbeviewedthroughthefuel
levelwindowin therearhitchplate.
CARGO NET
Convenientlylocatedon thetractor'sdashpanel,thecargonetcanbe
usedto storepersonalitemswhileoperatingthelawntractor.
IVT (INFINITELY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION)
RELEASE LEVERS
TheIVTtransmissionreleaseleversare locatedatthebackofthe
tractorabovethe rearhitchplate.Whenengaged,theseleversopen
a dumpvalveineachtransmissionwhichallowsthetractortobe
manuallypushedshortdistances.See"MovingtheTractorManually"
laterinthis sectionforinstructions.
