LCD Hour Meter Display
Thehourmeterdisplayisactivatedwhenthekeyswitchisturnedto
eitherthe"NORMALMOWING"orthe"REVERSECAUTIONMODE"
switchpositions.Whenthekeyswitchisturnedtoanon position,
thebatteryindicatorlightbrieflyilluminatesandthebatteryvoltageis
bridly displayed.Thedisplaythenchangestotheaccumulatedhours.
NOTE:A recordoftheactualhoursofoperationshouldbe keptto
assuremaintenanceproceduresarecompletedaccordingtothe
scheduleinthismanual.
TheIndicatorMonitorwillalsoremindtheoperatorofmaintenance
intervalsforchangingtheengineoil.TheLCDwillalternatelyflash
therecordedhours,"CHG"and"Oil" forfiveminutes,afterevery50
hoursofrecordedoperationelapse.Themaintenanceintervallastsfor
twohours(from50-52,100-102,150-152,etc.).TheLCDwillflashas
describedforfiveminuteseverytimethetractor'sengineisstarteddur-
ingthis maintenanceinterval.Followtheoilchangeintervalsprovided
inthe Service& Maintenancesectionof thisManual.
Battery indicatorLight
Thisindicatorilluminateswhentheignitionswitchitturnedtoan ON
positionandtheengineisnotstarted.
Thisalsoilluminatesto indicatethebatteryvoltagehasdroppedbelow
11.5(+0.5/-1.0)DCvolts(thebatteryvoltageisalsodisplayedonthe
hourmeter).Ifthisindicatorand displaycomeonduringoperation,
checkthebatteryandchargingsystemforpossiblecausesand/or
contactyourSearsParts& RepairServiceCenter.
Oil Pressureindicator Light
Thiswarninglampindicateslowengineoil pressure.Ifthisindicator
illuminates,stopthetractorimmediatelyandchecktheengineoil level.
Iftheoil leveliswithintheoperatingrange,butthelightremainson,
contactyourSearsParts& RepairServiceCenter.
NOTE:Theoilpressureindicatormayilluminatewhenthekeyswitchis
turnedtoan onposition,butshouldturnoff whentheengineisstarted.
PTO(Power Take-Off) Engaged indicatorLight
Thisindicatorilluminateswhenthekeyswitchisturnedtothe"START"
positionwhilethe PTOknobisinthe"ENGAGED"position.Checkthis
indicatoriftheenginewillnotcrankwiththekeyswitchin the"START"
position.MovethePTOknobtothe"DISENGAGED"position.
Brake Engaged indicator
Thisindicatorilluminateswhenthekeyswitchisturnedtothe"START"
positionandthebrakepedalisnotfullydepressed.Checkthis
indicatoriftheenginewillnotcrankwiththekeyswitchinthe"START"
position.If necessary,fullydepressthebrakepedal.
THROTTLE CONTROL LEVER
Thethrottlecontrollevercontrolsthespeedof
theengine.Whenset ina givenposition,the
throttlewillmaintaina uniformenginespeed.
IMPORTANT:Whenoperatingthetractorwith
thecuttingdeckengaged,thethrottlecontrol
levermustalwaysbein theFAST(rabbit)
position.
KEY SWITCH MODULE
Thekeyswitchmoduleisusedto
startandstoptheengine.It isalso
usedtoactivatetheReverseCaution
Mode(bladesoperatewhileriding
in reverse).Insertkeyintothekey
switchmoduleandturnclockwiseto
theSTARTposition.Releasethekey
intothenormalmowingpositiononce
enginehasstarted.
Tostoptheengine,turntheignition
keycounterclockwisetotheSTOP
position.

Neverleavea runningmachineunattended.AlwaysdisengagePTO,
setparkingbrake,stopengineand removekeytopreventunintended
starting.
