Lower Cross Member Reinforcement Kit P/N 02974182:

Support gussets have been added to the lower crossmember frame support
Service Required:
1. Secure the tractor to facilitate a safe repair, (Engine off, Park brake on, Key Secured & etc..).
2. Using the hardware provided, line up the holes in the plates with the those in the tractor frame
and attach the gusset plates to each side of the tractor over the lower crossmember as shown
in the drawing provided with the kit. NOTE: The gusset is made at an exaggerated length to
accommodate the possibility of varying distances between the crossmember and the tractor
frame. Some trimming of the gusset may be required.
3. Utilize a continuous 1/4" weld to attach the bottom of the gusset to the lower crossmember
between the two crossmember bolts on each side of the tractor as illustrated in figure 1 and in
the assembly drawing provided with the kit. Weld both sides of gusset.
4. Torque the four mounting bolts that attach gussets to tractor frame to 300 ft. lbs. (407 Nm)
5. Clean the welded area and paint with high gloss Black paint.
