Install balancer shaft aligning the timing mark
on
the
balancer shaft gear and the balancer gear on the
crank shaft as shown in the illustration.
Incorrect timing
of
the gears
will
cause
matfunction
of
the engine and may result in
damage due to interference
of
the parts.

TAPPET AND CAMSHAFT
(1)
Oil the tappets and install them in their original
position.

Push in fully to avoid damage during the installation
of
the camshaft.
Align the timing mark on the crankshaft gear with the timing mark on the camshaft
and
install the
camshaft in the crankcase
as
shown in the illustration.

Lubricate the bearing surfaces of camshaft.

ADJUST CRANKSHAFT AND CAMSHAFT END PLAY
(1)
Adjust end play to the specified values using the proper spacer.
The
proper spacer may be determined following manner.
