OPERATION
. Do notputhandsandfeet nearrotatingpartsor inthe feedingchambers
anddischargeopening.Contactwiththe rotatingimpellercanamputate
fingers,hands,and feet.
,, Beforestartingthe machine,makesurethe chipperchute,feedintake,
andcutting chamberareemptyandfreeofall debris.
,, Thoroughlyinspectallmaterialtobeshreddedandremoveanymetal,
rocks,bottles,cans,or otherforeignobjectswhichcouldcause personal
injuryor damageto the machine.
,, If it becomesnecessarytopush materialthroughthe shredderhopper,
useasmalldiameterstick. Donotuseyourhandsor feet.
,, If the impellerstrikesaforeign objector ifyourmachineshouldstart
makinganunusualnoiseorvibration,immediatelyshutthe engineoff.
Allowthe impellerto cometoa completestop. Disconnectthespark plug
wire,groundit againsttheengineand performthefollowingsteps:
1.Inspectfor damage.
2.Repairor replaceanydamagedparts.
3.Checkforanyloosepartsandtightentoassurecontinuedsafe
operation.
. Do notallowanaccumulationofprocessedmaterialto buildupinthe
dischargearea.This canpreventproperdischargeandresultin kickback
ofmaterialthroughthefeed opening.
,, Do notattempttoshredor chipmateriallargerthanspecifiedonthe
machineor in thismanual.Personalinjuryor machinedamagecould
result.
,, Neverattempttounclogeitherthefeedintakeor dischargeopening
whilethe engineis running.Shutthe engineoff, waituntilall moving
partshavestopped,disconnectthe sparkplugwireandgrounditagainst
theenginebeforeclearingdebris.
,, Neveroperatewithoutchipperbagand dischargechuteproperly
attachedtothe machine.Neveremptyor changechipperbagwhilethe
engineisrunning.Zipperedendofchipperbag mustbe keptclosedatall
timesduringoperation.

deflectorproperlyattachedtothe machine.Neveremptyor change
chipperbagwhilethe engineis running.
,, Keepall guards,deflectorsandsafetydevicesinplaceandoperating
properly.
,, Keepyourface andbody backandtothe sideofthechipperchutewhile
feedingmaterialintothe machinetoavoidaccidentalkickbackinjuries.

anydamageandrepair,if needed.
