Allowleavesandsmallbranchesupto 1/2diametertobefed intothe
impellerforchippingandshredding.Materialcan berakedintohopper
assemblybyloweringthe hopperassembly.SeeFigure9.
RELEASE ROD
The releaserodis locatedon theimpellerbracketassemblyandit
isusedto releaseor lockthehopperwhen raisingor lowering.See
Figure9.
CHUTE DEFLECTOR

Theoperationof anychippershreddercanresultinforeignobjects
beingthrownintothe eyes,whichcandamageyoureyesseverely.
Alwayswearthesafetyglassesprovidedwiththisunitor eyeshields
beforechippingor shreddingandwhile performingany adjustments
or repairs.
THROTTLE CONTROL
Thislevercontrolsthe enginespeedandstopfunction.Throughthree
separatepositionsonthe leverfromleftto right,theoperationisas
follows:
Start/Run Slow/Idle Engine Off
CHOKE CONTROL
Thechokecontrolisusedto chokethecarburetorandassistinstarting
theengine.
Chippedandshreddeddebrisis dischargedout thechutedeflector.
The unitmaybeoperatedwithorwithoutthe collectionbagattachedto STARTER HANDLE
