SERVICE AND ADJUSTMENTS
TO REMOVE HOOD (See Figs. 41 and 42)
• Raise hood.
e Disconnect headlight wire harness connector
e Remove screw used to attach hood tanyard to front of
engine Hold hood securely to prevent hood from failing
e Remove clevis pins, flatwashers and hairpins used to
attach hood to mounting brackets
e To reinstall reverse above procedure
ENGINE
TO ADJUST CHOKE CONTROL
(See Fig. 43)
The choke control has beenpreset at factory and adjustment
should not be necessary, Check adjustment as described
below before loosening clamp screw If adjustment is
necessary,proceed as foJ!ows
• Move choke control to '*CHOKE" position Carburetor
choke should be closed tf not choke needs to be
adjusted.
• Place control lever in "CHOKE" position, Loosen casing
ciamp screw
• Move casing and wire until choke is completely closed
® Tighten casing clamp screw
