EP A Phase 3 complianc e, we rec ommend
using only genuine Re dMax brand replace-
ment parts. Use of non-compli ant replacement
parts is a viol ation of federal law .
YOUR WARR AN TY RIGHTS AND
OBLIGATIONS:
The U.S. Environmental Protec tion Agency,
Californi a Air Resource s Boa rd, Environm ent
Canada and RedM ax are pleased to explain
the emissi ons co ntrol system warr anty on
your year 2012 and later small off-road en-
gine. In Califor nia, all small off-road engines
must be design ed, built, and equipped to meet
the State’s st ringent anti--smog st andards.
RedMax mu st warrant the emission control
system on your sm all off-road engine for the
periods of time list ed below provide d there
has been no abuse, neglect , or improper
maintenance of your small of f-road engine.
Your emission control system inc ludes parts
such as the carburetor, the ignitio n syst e m
and the fuel tank. Where a warr antable cond i-
tion exis ts, RedMax will repair your small
off-road engine at no cost to you. Expenses
covered under warranty include diagnosis,
parts and labor.
MANUFACTURER’S WA RRANTY
COVERAGE:
If any emissions related part on your engine
(as listed under Emissions Control Warranty
Parts List ) is defective or a defect in the mate-
rials or workm ansh ip of the engine causes
the failure of su ch an emission rela ted part,
the part will be repaired or replaced by
RedMax.
OWNER’S WARRANTY RESPONSI-
BILITIES:
As the smalloff-road engine owner, you
are res ponsible for the performance of the
required maintenance listed in your opera-
tor’s manual. RedMax recommends that
you retain all receipts cover ing maintenance
on your small off-road engine, but RedMax
cannot deny warr anty solely for the lack of
receipts or for your failure to ensure the per-
formanceof all sc heduled maintenance. As
the small off-road engine owner, you should
be awarethat RedMax may deny you war-
ranty cover age if your small off-road engine
or a part of it has failed due toabuse,
neglect, improper maintenance, unapproved
modifications, or the use of parts not made
or approv ed by theoriginalequipment
manufacturer. You are responsible for pre-
senting your small off-road engine to a
RedMax authorized repair center as soon
as a problem exists. Warranty repairs
should be completed in a reasonable
amount of time, not to exceed30 days.

WARRA NTY COMMENCEMENT
DATE:
The warr anty period begins on the date the
small of f-road engine is purchased.
LENGTH OF COVERAGE:
This warranty shall be for a periodof two
years from the initialdate of purchase, or
until the end of the product warranty (which-
ever is longer).
WHAT IS COVERED: REPAIR OR
REPLACEMENT OF PARTS.
Repair or replacement of any warr anted part
will be perfo rmed at no charge to the owner at
an approved RedMax ser vicing cente r . If you
have any quest ions rega rding your warrant y
rights and responsibilities, you sho uld contact
your nearest authorized se rvic e cente r , call
RedMax at 1--800--291--8251, or send e--mail
correspondence to service@redmax. com.
WARRANTY PERIOD:
Any warr anted part which is not scheduled for
replacemen t as requ ired maintenance , or
which is scheduled only for regular insp ecti on
to the effect of “r epair or replace as neces-
sary” shall be warranted for 2 years. Any war-
ranted part which is scheduled for replace-
ment as requ ired maintenance shall be war-
ranted for the period of time up to the first
scheduled repla cement point for that part.
DIAGNOSIS:
The owner shall not be charged for diagnost ic
labor which leads to the determina tion that a
warrant ed part is defect ive if the diagnostic
work is perfor med at an appr oved Re dMax
servicing ce nter .
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES:
RedMax may be liable for damages to other
engine compone nts caused by the failure of a
warrant ed part st ill under warr anty.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED:
All failures causedby abuse, neglect, or
improper maintenance are not covered.
ADD--ONORMODIFIEDPARTS:
The use of add--on or modified parts canbe
grounds for disallowing a warranty claim.
RedMax is not liable to cover failures of
warranted parts caused by the use of add--
on or modified parts.
HOW TO FILE A CLAIM:
