TROUBLESHOOTING CHART
PROBLEM CAUSE
Poor grass 1. Engine speed too slow.

2. Travel speed too fast.
3. Wet grass.
4. Mower deck not level.
5. Low/uneven tire air pressure,

7. Buildup of grass, leaves and
trash under mower.

around mandrels.

servicing.
CORRECTION
1. Place throttle control in
IFAST" position.
2. Shift to slower speed.
3. Allow grass to dry before
mowing.
4. Level mower deck.
5. Check tires for proper air
pressure.
6. Replace/sharpen blade.
Tighten blade bolt.
7. Clean underside of mower
housing.
8. Replace mower drive belt.
9. Reinstall blades sharp edge
down.
10.Replece with blades listed
in this manual.
11.Clean around mandrels to
open vent holes.
1. Turnswitch"ON".
2. Replace bulb(s).
3. Check/replacelightswitch.
4. Checkwiringand connec-
tions.
5. Replacefuse.
1. Replace battery.
2. Check/cleanall connec-
tions.
3. Replace regulator.
i4. Replace alternator.
1. Placefreewheel controlin
"engaged"position.
2. Replacemotionddvs belt.
3. Purge transmission.
Engine"backfires" 1. Engine throttle control not 1. Move throttle control to
whentumlng set at =SLOV,Z' =SLOW" position and allow
engine position for 30 seconds to idle for 30 seconds before
"OFF" before stopping engine, stopping engine.
