AUTOMATICTRANSMISSION WARM UP
Beforedrivingtheunitin cold weather,
_ the transmissionshouldbe warmedup as
follows:
1. Besurethetractoris on levelground.
2. Place the motioncontrolleverin
neutral.Release the parkingbrake
and lettheclutch/brakeslowlyretum
to operatingposition.
3. Allowone minutefor transmissionto
warmup.This can be done during
theengine warmup period.
• The attachmentscan alsobe used
duringthe enginewarm-up periodafter
the transmissionhasbeen warmed up.
NOTE: Ifat a highaltitude (above3000
feet) or incoldtemperatures(below32 F)
the carburetorfuel mixturemay needto
be adjustedfor bestengineperformance.

PURGETRANSMISSlON
_CAUTION: Never engageor disen-
gage freewheel lever whilethe engine is
running.
To ensureproperoperationand perfor-
mance, itisrecommendedthatthe
transmissionbe purgedbeforeoperating
tractorfor thefirsttime.Thisprocedurewill
removeany trappedair insidethe
transmissionwhichmay have developed
duringshippingof yourtractor.
IMPORTANT: Shouldyourtransmission
requireremovalfor service or replace-
ment,it shouldbe purgedafter reinstalla-
tionbeforeoperatingthetractor.
: 1. Placetractorsafelyon levelsurface
withengineoffand parkingbrakeset.
2. Disengagetransmissionby placing
freewheel controlin freewheeling
position(See =TOTRANSPORT"in
thissectionof manual).
3. Sittinginthe tractorseat,start engine.
Afterthe engine isrunning,move
throttlecontroltoslowposition,With
motioncontrollever in neutral(N)
position,slowlydisengageclutch/
brake pedal
4. Move motion controlleverto full
forwardpositionand holdforfive(5)
seconds.Move leverto full reverse
positionand holdfor five (5) seconds.
Repeatthis procedurethree (3) times,
NOTE: Duringthisproceduretherewillbe
no movementofdrivewheels.The air is
beingremovedfrom hydraulicdrive
system.
5, Move motioncontrolleverto neutral
(N) position. Shut- offengineand set
parkingbrake.
6. Engage transmissionby placing
freewheel controlin drivingposition
(See =TOTRANSPORT"inthissection
of manual).
7. Sittinginthetractorseat, startengine.
Afterthe engine isrunning,move
throttlecontroltohalf(1/2) speed.With
motioncontrollever in neutral(N)
position,slowlydisengageclutch/
brake pedal.
8. Slowlymovemotioncontrollever
forward, afterthetractormoves
approximatelyfive (5) feet,slowly
movemotioncontrollevertoreverse
position.Afterthetractormoves
approximatelyfive (5) feet retumthe
motioncontrolleverto the neutral(N)
position.Repeat this procedurewith
the motioncontrolleverthree(3)
times.
Yourtractoris nowpurgedand nowready
for normaloperation.
