REPLACING BATTERY
_CAUTION: Do notshort battery
terminals by allowing a wrench or any
other object to contact both terminals at
the same time. Before connecting battery,
remove metal bracelets, wristwatch
bands, rings, etc.
Positive terminal must be connected first
to prevent sparking from accidental
grounding,
1. Lift seat pan to raised position and
open battery box door.
2. Disconnect BLACK battery cable first
then RED battery cable and carefully
remove battery from tractor.
3. Install new battery with terminals in
same position as old battery.
4. First connect RED battery cable to
positive (+) terminal with hex bolt and
keps nut as shown. Tighten securely.
5. Connect BLACK grounding cable to
negative (-) terminal with remaining
hex bolt and keps nut. Tighten
securely.
6: Close battery box door.

TO REPLACE HEADLIGHT BULB
1. Raise hood.
2. Pull bulb holder out of the hole in the
backside of the gdll.
3. Replace bulb in holder and push bulb
holder securely back into the hole in
the backside of the grill.
4. Close hood.
INTERLOCKS AND RELAYS
Loose or damaged wiring may cause your
tractor to run poorly,stop running, or
prevent itfrom starting.
Check wiring. See electrical wiring
diagram in the Repair Parts section.
TO REPLACE FUSE
Replace with 20 amp automotive-type
plug-in fuse. The fuse holder is located
behind the dash.
TO REMOVE HOOD AND GRILL AS-
SEMBLY
1. Raise hood.
2. Unsnap headlight wire connector.
3. Stand in front of tractor. Grasp hood at
sides, tilt toward engine and lift off of
tractor.
4. To replace, reverse above procedure.

TO ADJUST THROTTLE CONTROL
CABLE
The throttlecontrolhas been presetat the
factoryend adjustmentshouldnot be
necessary.Check adjustreentas descnbed
below before loosening cable. Ifadjustment is
necessary,proceed as follows:
1. Withengine not funning, move throttle
control lever from slowto choke posillon.
Slowly move lever from choke to fast
position.
2. Check to see if hole in throttle lever end
bole in speed controlbracket are aligned.
3. Ifholes are notaligned, loosencable
clampscrew and alignthe holesby
insertinga pencilor a 1/4" ddllbit through
both boles.
4. Pull throttle c_ble up to remove slack and
tightencable clamp screw. Remove
alignmentpencilor drillbit.
