HOW TO USE YOUR TRACTOR
Yourtractorisequippedwithan operator
presencesensingswitch.Whenengineis
running,anyattemptby the operatorto
leavethe seatwithoutfirstsettingthe
parkingbrakewillshutoffthe engine.
TO SET PARKINGBRAKE
Depressclutch/brakepedal intofull
=BRAKE"positionand hold.
Place parkingbrakeleverin =EN-
GAGED"positionand releasepressure
from clutch/brakepedal.Pedalshould
remainin=BRAKE"position.Make sure
parkingbrakewill holdtractorsecure.

NOTE: Undercertainconditionswhen
tractorisstandingidlewiththeenginerun-
ning,hotengineexhaustgases may
cause"browning" of grass. To eliminate
thispossibility,alwaysstopenginewhen
ppingtractoron grassareas.
CAUTION: Alwaysstoptractorcom-
pletely,as describedabove,beforeleaving
the operator'sposition;toemptygrass
catcher,etc.
THROTTLE CONTROL
Alwaysoperateengineat full throttle.
Operatingengineat lessthanfull throt-
tle reducesthe batterychargingrate.
Fullthrottle offersthe bestbaggingand
mowerperformance.
TO MOVE FORWARDAND BACKWARD
The directionandspeedof movement is
controlledbythe gearshift lever.
Starttractorwithclutch/brakepedal
depressedandgearshiftleverin neutral
(N) position.
Move gearshiftleverto desired posi-
tion.
Slowlyreleaseclutch/brakepedalto
start movement.
IMPORTANT: Bringtractorto a complete
stopbefore shiftingorchanginggears.
Failuretodosowillshortenthe usefullife
of yourtransaxle.
TO ADJUST MOWER CUTTING HEIGHT
The cuttingheightis controlledbyturning
the heightadjustmentknobindesired
direction.
Tum knobclockwise( ) to raisecut-
tingheight.
Turn knob counterclockwise( ) to
lowercuttingheight.
The cuttingheightrange is approximately
1-1/2"to 4". The heightsare measured
fromthe groundto the blade tipwiththe
enginenotrunning.These heightsare ap-
proximateand mayvary dependingupon
soilconditions,heightofgrassand types
of grassbeing mowed.
