TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE REMEDY
NOT CUTTING CLEAN Blades dull. Sharpen or replace Blades.
Blade rotation incorrect. Use correct Blade for Carrier.
Carrier RPM too low. Increase PTO speed.
Mower not leveled. Adjust machine level
Ground speed too fast. Reduce ground speed.
Blades locked back. Free Blades.
Blades riding up due to Replace Blade Bolts
blade bolt wear.
Blades bent up. Replace Blades.
BREAKING BLADE Operating with loose Tighten Blade Bolts to 400 ft. lbs.
BOLTS Blade Bolts.
Worn Blade Bolt. Replace Bolt.
CUTTING TOO HIGH Blades bent up. Replace Blades.
Blade Bolt Bushing broken Replace or reweld Bushing. Weld
or loose. with E7018 low Hydrogen rods.
Blade Carrier bent. Straighten or replace Blade Carrier.
Blades on upside down. Turn Blades right side up and tighten.
CUTTER VIBRATES Blade locked back. Loosen locked Blade.
Drivelines not phased. Replace Driveline.
Blade broken. Replace Blades in sets.
Blade Carrier bent. Repair or replace Carrier.
Blade Hub not properly Remove Hub, check Shaft,
seated on Shaft. and replace or seat properly.
New Blade matched with Replace Blades in sets

CUTTER WINDROWING Cutting heavy material. Raise Cutter and reduce ground speed.
