13. TRANSPORTING THE TRACTOR AND CUTTER
Before transporting the tractor and cutter, idle the
tractor engine, disengage the PTO and wait for all
cutter moving parts to come to a complete stop. Once
all cutter parts are completely stopped, raise the cutter
to transport height. NOTE: When raising the cutter,
maintain 1” clearance between the driveline and cutter
deck. If additional cutter deck height is needed for
safe transport, disconnect the driveline from the tractor
and secure its end to the cutter deck. The cutter can
then be raised to the maximum lift height.
If the tractor’s hydraulic pump is not independent of
the tractor PTO, or if the tractor PTO has to be run to
have hydraulic power, disconnect the cutter driveline
from the tractor PTO output shaft. Secure the driveline
to the mower deck to prevent driveline damage or loss
during transport.
Inherent dangers of operating the tractor and cutter and the possibility of accidents are not left behind when you
finish cutting an area. Therefore, the operator must employ good judgement and safe operation practices when
transporting the tractor and cutter between locations. By using good judgement and following safe tranport
procedures, the possibility of accidents while moving between locations can be substantially minimized
.
DANGER!
Never allow children or other persons to ride on the Tractor or
Implement. Falling off can result in serious injury or death.
