8. MAINTENANCE
Chassis
Clean the underside of the chassis. Brush or wipe with
a damp cloth.
Wheels
Clean around the front and rear wheels and around the
front wheel suspension.
Body
Use a damp, soft sponge or cloth to clean the body.
If the body is very dirty it may be necessary to use
a soap solution or washing-up liquid.
Take particular care to keep the two ultrasonic
sensors clean from dirt and dust at all times. When
the sensors are covered with dirt (i.e. the sensors are
not working) run the mower at a much lower speed
than normal to avoid hard impacts. The low speed
might then mean that the mower will not have time to
cut all of the intended area.
8.6 Replacing the blades
There are five blades on Automower
®
260 ACX that
are screwed into the blade disc. The blades have four
edges to ensure a longer service life. Two of the
edges are equally worn as the blade disc rotates
alternately to the left and alternately to the right.
When the edges (1 and 2) have become dull, loosen
the screw and turn the knife over so that edges 3 and
4 are facing outwards.
All five blades and screws must be replaced at the
same time to obtain a balanced mowing system.
There are several blade variants with different
characteristics to choose from as accessories. Contact
your dealer for further information.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Do not use running water when cleaning.
WARNING
Always use originalblades and
screws when replacing.
Only replacing the blades and
reusing the screw can result in the
screw wearing during mowing and
shearing off. The blades can then be
thrown out and cause serious injury.
