OPERATION
Arrange the chains so that when tightened, the
chains are pulling downward and against
themselves. Carefully tighten the securing chains
or other fasteners used as much as possible using
boomers or binders to apply maximum tension.
Use extreme care when attaching and removing
the securing devices as the extreme tension
involved when released has the potential to inflict
serious injury.
While hauling the tractor and implement, make
occasional stops to check that the tractor and
implement have not moved or shifted and that the
securing chains have maintained tension. If during
transport a hard braking, sharp turning, or swerving
action was performed, stop at the next safe location
to inspect the security of the load. OPS-U- 0026
