ELITE SERIES
10.0 Automatic Filtration Cycles
Your new spa includes a circulation pump that lters the water
continuously for 8 hours (default setting). The circulation pump draws
water through the short side of the double-ended lter cartridge and
effectively removes small debris in your spa.
Note: The pump is not programmable. To set a time for the circulation
pump ltration cycle, simply turn power on to the spa two minutes prior to
the desired time.
The control system activates a programmable “standard” or “economy”
ltration/heating cycle to remove larger debris missed by the circulation
pump ltration system. These cycles utilize pump #1 and the larger
lter cartridge end to quickly clear “skim” the water of large debris and
minimize their “bath-tub ring” effect. Apart from their ltration benet,
each mode also effects the operation of your spa’s heater. Refer to
Sections 10.1 and 10.2 below for additional information.
10.1 Standard Filtration/Heating Modes (F0-F3)
Standard ltration/heating modes are typically selected by customers in
cold climates where heat up times are extended due to lower ambient
temperatures. In these modes, the set temperature regulates the water
temperature. The jets pump 1, circulation pump, and heater activate as
needed. After the programmed set temperature is reached, the heater
turns off and the spa continues its normal operations.
10.2 Economy Filtration/Heating Modes (F4-F6)
Economy ltration/heating modes are typically selected by customers in
warm climates where heat up times are minimized due to higher ambient
temperatures. In these modes, the set temperature regulates the water
temperature. The jets pump 1, circulation pump, and heater only activate
while a programmed lter cycle is running (unless in summer logic; see
Section 13.1, page 44).
Note: These modes consume less energy than standard modes F0-F3
outlined above.
10.3 Lock Modes (L1-L2)
These modes are designed for use during spa service or to prevent
unauthorized use.
